SIOUX CITY, S.D. — President of Nutra-Crop Ed Ummach recently announced the newest addition to the company’s proven and powerful mix-and-match nutrient solutions: NovaGro. The new family of tank-ready mixes enters the market with three products: NovaGuard NBPT, NovaGuard DCD and NovaHalt.

NovaGuard NBPT and NovaGuard DCD are both nitrogen stabilizers. NovaGuard NBPT slows hydrolysis of urea, controls volitalization and helps prevent ammonia loss from surface-applied urea. NovaGuard DCD is a formulated fertilizer additive for urea and UAN to aid in generating the most efficient nitrogen sources for crops.

NovaHalt is a phosphorous stabilizer designed to reduce phosphate tie-up and decrease phosphate fixation when added to liquid phosphate fertilizers, making phosphate more available to the plant.
