Crystal Green (5-28-0 with 10% Mg) is the only granular phosphate fertilizer that releases nutrients in response to crop demand. With its unique organic acid solubility, delivering phosphorus plus magnesium and nitrogen, Crystal Green enables growers to do more with less, achieving higher yields with fewer inputs and reduced environmental impact.
First Look at new Zimmerman Strip-Till Bar in Action
National Strip-Tillage Conference all-star Jon Stevens checks in from Rock Creek, Minn., with his first look at a new Zimmerman Manufacturing Contour King strip-till unit.
Bio Strip-Till Paying Off for Corn Belt Farmer
Ben Moest posted a video and photo showcasing early returns on his bio strip-till experiment in Illinois. Bio strip-till is a hybrid practice that marries the benefits of cover crops with strip-till.

2 Major Reasons to Strip-Till
Ag PhD on X shared this older blog post from Environmental Tillage Systems that lays out the case for strip-till over other popular tillage programs. “Research from the University of Minnesota in 2019 has shown that strip-till saved farmers $19.50 per acre compared to disk/chisel plow rotation.”
When growers first start #striptill, many are unsure of which path to take. Research conducted at Iowa State University from 2016-2018 showed no statistical difference in yield when deciding to apply fertilizer in the fall or spring with strip-till. https://t.co/AeAT6i3qvD pic.twitter.com/pr8CNq8jmF

Strip-Till Outperforms No-Till in Canola Trials
Carlo Van Herk of Farming Smarter reports results from an experiment that compared no-till, strip-till and full tillage with canola planting. Van Herk says the strip-tilled canola had better emergence than no-tilled canola, and also fewer weeds.
‘What Work Has Taught Me’: Mike Lessiter’s Labor Day Message
Mike Lessiter, president of Strip-Till Farmer and our sister magazines at Lessiter Media, opens up about what he has learned from the various jobs that he held before working for Lessiter Media. In the theme of Labor Day, Lessiter says “work is a privilege,” and offers some sound advice on what makes a good employer.
