Phospholutions has released a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) conducted by Sustainable Solutions Corporation that validates its claim that RhizoSorb 8-39-0 decreases carbon emissions and minimizes environmental impact in freshwater systems by 45.2% in comparison to monoammonium phosphate (MAP) fertilizer.
The LCA findings note that the decrease in MAP combined with a 33% reduction in product per acre leads to 46.1% less ozone layer depletion, 40.5% less eutrophication and 34.7% less acidification. A study by the New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research found that RhizoSorb fertilizers decrease run-off potential by 78%.
