Contest-Winning Strategies Can Carry onto Whole Farm
Strip-tiller Chris Lindner shares what he learned from his 315-bushel yield, and how he can carry over strategies from his contest plot to his entire farm in this article from Iowa Farmer Today. “We weren’t really doing a lot of split applications, but now we probably are doing multiple nitrogen applications,” he said. “We’ll put it on in the fall, spring, early in the season, side dress and even get the airplane. We aren’t putting on lots of it, just small amounts on different trips.”

“We're now doing strip-till at Pensipple Farm, fourth season of no ploughing. It's reduced establishment costs by 30% and massively improved establishment, especially in dry springs. And we've seen no yield drop.” Anthony Ellis of Pensipple Farm, #FarmNetZero project.#ORFC24 pic.twitter.com/2JuaDsD3uz
