[Video] An Innovative Approach to Strip-Tilling Soybeans

Strip-till has improved Iowa farmer Robb Ewoldt’s corn yields by nearly 35 bushels per acre over the last decade, and now he wants to see if it can do the same for his soybean yields. In 2023, Ewoldt designed and custom-built a 15-inch row strip-till toolbar for soybeans and put it to the test in 2024 for the first time on his 2,000-acre operation near Davenport, Iowa.

Ewoldt gives an unfiltered look at his outside-the-box approach to equipment setups, and the potential advantages of strip-till over no-till when it comes to growing soybeans.
