[Video] Managing Residue for Strip-Till Corn-on-Corn Success

During his career as a full-time agronomist, Randy Bump learned early on that strip-till was a winner no matter the soil type, so much so that he went all in on the reduced tillage practice when he returned to his family’s 1,000-acre Albany, Wis., farm in 2014.

In this session, Bump reveals his playbook for corn-on-corn success, including the critical adjustments he made to his combine, planter and strip-till rig. He also explains the reasons behind his switch from shanks to discs, why hybrid selection is key to residue management, how AutoPath changed the way he strip-tills and more.

You’ll Learn: Equipment adjustments and attachments that help manage heavy residue, what to look for when selecting hybrids for continuous corn and nutrient management strategies for maximizing yield.
