[Video] Evaluating the Agronomic Benefits of 60-Inch Corn

North central Wisconsin strip-tiller Andrew DeVries tried interseeding cover crops in 60-inch corn on his 1,800-acre dairy operation in 2023 to see if it could save him time and money and ultimately boost his bottom line.

During this classroom session, DeVries reveals the eye-opening results from his 60-inch corn trials. “The great thing about this project was that it really shows there are no right or wrong answers in agriculture,” DeVries says. “I have received National Corn Growers awards for yield contests, which is a great accomplishment, however; this project brought more pride to me than any yield contest ever has.” DeVries will also share additional insights from on-farm research involving cover crops and low disturbance manure applications with strip-till.
